from Sault Ste Marie, Hawk Junction & Hearst

For over 100 years the Algoma Central Railway has been providing comfortable access to the wilderness of the central Algoma region of Northern Ontario Canada.

Sault Ste Marie is approximately 1/3 of the way across Ontario on the Trans Canada Highway 17 and is also directly north of Michigan across the international bridge at the northern end of the I75,

Hawk Junction is the half way station on the Algoma Central Railway at mile 165 / km 265. Hawk Junction is only a 15 minute drive east of Wawa from the popular Lake Superior Circle Tour. Hawk Junction is the traditional boarding station for the many people who visit the northern Algoma on Wilderness and Fishing Adventures and Vacations.

Hearst is the northern end of the Algoma Central Railway Passenger Train line and is accessible by highway 11 from Toronto and Southern Ontario (Younge Street North) or you can take the Ontario Northland Northlander train and bus from Union Station in downtown Toronto or any of the Northlander Station going north.
